	Normally, I would avoid such overdone subjects as flowers and fey, but I'm working on a project for which the subject works. Also, the flowers are all based on either life, textbook illustrations, or photographs. This is Pitcher Plant. Pencils.

She seems terribly shy, yet terribly curious all at the same time, as though she's peeping out at something, and just can't quite get up the nerve to come out. And yet, all the same, she seems just a touch sad and a bit mischievous. This is a wonderful piece; very original. Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Interesting. I've purposely given this fey an androgynous quality, but that's one who sees it as a she. Anyway, you're right about the rest. Thanks for the comment."

I think this and it's counterpart would make nice card fronts. Or large posters with brilliant colours (like Mucha). Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Aha ! 25 Jan 2004	Dyskord	Loading... squeals Rhyllllllll.. so cute. Miss you lots as usual. Neat seeing a drawing like this from you. Would have never expected it.. (mean that in a good way of course ) Looks like something you'd want to pick up, but it might bite so maybe not. Wish I could run around nude like that. Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Thanks, girl. I would actually be more worried about Morning Glory biting me than this little Pitcher Plant. laugh"
