This is Cerid. He's not very nice. That shadow belongs to someone else. That someone is going to die.

Cerid belongs to my boyfriend and he is the group's very unpleasant, but ultimately useful-to-have-around assassin character. A present for our anniversary. - Oh, it's greyscale marker, by the way.

Just to set the record straight... I did not base Cerid off Entreri. Just like Maya said, he's an assassin, he's not nice that's about it... He's based off an old thief character I played on a mud... That's about it

:-) Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Ya. What he said. So, nyah !"

The pose is good and I like the way you've coulored it.

I love this. I have not seen much in greyscale marker from you but I really like the softness it gives, as well as the incredible shading. More cartoon-like than your usual style, but I think that also has to do with the markers. Also, even though it's softer, it also has nice sharp distinctions and contrast.

:-) Maya R. Hirschman replies: "It does have to do with the markers. Cerid looked very different when he was only plotted in pencil. You should see the real version - the scan lost a LOT of the subtlety."

Quite amazing. For some reason the boots really stand out! In a good way!! I really seem to like these old buckles and straps that give the characters gear a proper strapped-on, wrapped up look... I s that weird? Better stop before its gets bondage-related.

A-Dam

:-) Maya R. Hirschman replies: "It's okay, I used to work in a Goth/fetish shop, I'm not bothered by allusions to bondage. And I totally agree with you. It's all about the strapped on, wrapped up look. I like to ground my fantasy costuming in a little bit of reality."

His cape hangs so nicely, he makes the perfect rogue/assassin type. Plus you skipped that immaculately bathed and richly garbed theme (Which can also work), making him look a little tougher. I like 1

:-) Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Thanks, Brandon ! Well, Cerid isn't out of the aristocricy, he's a creepy, if charming, kid out of the mean streets of Waterdeep who's making his way up through the guild."

A great picture of a mid earth character

Its a very nice picture done by a very talented artist...I only hope that this character has half the fighting prowess that artemis had...Also i like how he doesnt look like a sissy all dressed up all primp and proper and such...Good luck with the character.

:-) Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Thanks very much for the comment. I'm rather fond of this piece, moreso than the character. *laugh* He's a real... um... jerk."

He looks a really meeeeean assassin...you've really captured it in his face. As for the shading on the folds on his cloak thingy, they look really good. Kind of gives it the effect of shiny material.

:-) Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Thanks. I still really like this piece and I'm glad it hangs on my bf's wall."

:-) Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Thanks very much. *takes a bow*"

This is my favourite - I've enjoyed viewing your work! He looks like he has a story to tell!

:-) Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Thank you very much - and yes, there is a story there, but he's not telling !"
